So, this week I have been doing my best to prepare for my first test. Although I would say that, generally, I have been keeping up rather well in my classes, I honestly did not see this test coming. About a week ago, my Storia Romana professor announced that we had finished the first “module” of the class, and that there would be a test this Friday. I guess I am so used to Richmond where everything is mapped out for us well in advance, where I would have known about this test for a month… but here I guess these things are fun little Italian surprises.
This ten question test would not worry me so much if I hadn’t already booked a non-refundable flight to Dublin during the time of the exam, and if we had actually learned a substantial amount of information in this class. Luckily I can take the test next week, but unfortunately, I am still unsure (as are all of the other international kids I’ve talked to) about what we supposedly have learned…
Well, I should end this pity party and continue to memorize Roman voting tribes and nomenclature rules because (I think) that information will be helpful to me. Let’s hope I’m right.
